Its 4 Days to Christmas... so incredibly NEAR

I am incredibly busy today since Val is on leave and I am covering her
duties too. Just sneaking some time to update my blog since I have loads
of things to write about.

Bloody hell... the bank has blocked my access to my blog. Now I will
just have to rely on blogging in office and updating at home. How
irritating!

1. Christmas Presents

alala... nice right!!!
I am happy with the way I wrapped my Christmas presents this year. Plus
I drew the snowflake and made the gift tag all myself. Now its almost
time to distribute the presents. Still I am missing one gift. If I buy a
snow globe, it seems like a waste of money. Not sincere at all. Need to
think again. I hate hate hate hate shopping for Christmas presents.

2. Chow Chow

Chow Chow is SO CUTEZ! We saw one at Pasir Ris Farmway on sunday. There
was this field that you can bring your dogs and there were a few dogs
running and chasing each other playfully. Only this chow chow standing
on its own. Like it could not be bothered with the surrounding. I kind
of pity the chow chow cos its thick fur is not suitable for our climate.
Most of the time, it was sticking out its black tongue and looking blur.

3. Year End Lunch

Yvonne, Chi Chi, Sie Wei and Wai Hoong treated me to year end lunch at
Ember restaurant today. It's the little restaurant in Hotel 1929. I
remembered reading in some magazines that it is award winning.

For appetizer;
Sie Wei and Wai Hoong had the fried soft shell crab, erm... in my
opinion, does not look nice at all. Urgh~
Yvonne and Chi Chi had fried scallop that looks suspiciously like oval
shape crabmeat steak
I had the mushroom soup, YUM!

Main course;
Sie Wei had seafood spaghetti (Yvonne & Chi Chi commented that he was a
boring person always eating the same thing), missing clams *haha*
Yvonne and Chi Chi had codfish and they insist it's the best. Yvonne
even commented people should not order chicken cos you can eat chicken
like everywhere??? *rolled eye*
Wai Hoong and I had the roasted chicken, there is some Indian spice.
Does not click with Wai Hoong's tastebud but I think its good anyway.

Heard that Ember is famous for its dessert.
Sie Wei had chocolate cake... boring
Yvonne and Chi Chi had banana crepe
Wai Hoong and I had apple strudel and banana tart respectively... topped
off with lavender ice cream! Interesting taste, I would say that
lavender ice cream is edible, quite nice actually. Plus the banana tart
is fantastic! I recommend to all.

Lunch was about $40 per head. Can consider going some other time

*poke at tummy* BIG LIAO! Nvm cos I am going swimming! Ciao~ almost time
to knock off. YIPPEE

Its 9 Days to Christmas :) *munching Oreo and continue growing fat*

I am not quite done with my Christmas Shopping yet… bought the same gift for most of my friends and colleagues.
*Some of you may think I am not sincere, but I am telling you, its damn hard to find a gift that is chic yet practical” Man I think I missed out on a couple of friends. Bought only 10 of them. Got to go back and get more. This year, I got all my presents wrapped in black cardboard and gold ribbon. Plus I made my own gift tag with golden snowflakes.

Actually, there is nothing that I really want… and this year, I feel that Christmas is a little quiet. Wish I am in some other place;

that will be snowing so hard that you can’t drive,
with women are dressed in long white coat with furry trims
where there are bagful of Christmas presents wrapped in colourful ribbon,
and christmas carol floating through the walkways
little children having snow-war and loads of snowmen piled along the streets
and candles… more candles…. MORE MORE CANDLES…

Ok ENUFF of day dreaming… and back to work…

Its 13 Days to Christmas :)

Oh Ya~ I am much much better today. Not feeling sick like yesterday…

Part 2 of Christmas Party

Xuen
I have not quite finished with Xuen actually. After she starting warming up to me and Gracie, she passed this remark;

"You all come here,
eat and eat and eat,
drink and drink and drink,
lauff and lauff and lauff."

Amazing, what words can come out from a 3 year old.

Aright after Yvette gave her recital of Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars, we were all edging her on for her performance. What she did next, left all of us laughing so badly our stomach cramp;

She ran over to Yvonne’s hubby and whispered a mandarin love song to him. Wahahahaha...Such a cheeky little ger

As we progress into the night, Keng Mun wanted to take some pictures of the kids. He walked round snapping candid pictures of the toddlers and Xuen appears, asking for an individual photo of herself to be taken. Lol

Ok enuff of the kids. The hightlight of the evening was actually a gift exchange. I was lucky enuff to pick a dice as a gift. The faces of the dice reads:

Go to Lunch
Go to sleep
Stay Late
Go to Pub
Go to Lunch
Take a break

The only one I don’t really like is to stay late… hmm…

Anyway, with a $10 budget, the popular gifts were towel and mugs. WHO NEEDS SO MANY MUGS IN THEIR LIFE! I promise not to give mugs to ppl as gift anymore. In any case, I don’t wish to receive any more mugs as gift. But frankly, no one can beat the person who actually wrapped a S$10 note as a gift…. Hmmm

Its 14 Days to Christmas :)

I was sick the entire weekend. Basically i was drifting in and out of consciousness (sleeping) the entire of today.

Last night, Peter invited the entire Transport Sector to his place for a Christmas party. It is kind of early, but i think he is going back to Australia after this week to spend christmas. Everyone was suppose to buy a gift for exchange ($10 worth). I bought this cute coin box. When you drop your coin in, you cant see it anymore. Some sort of illusion thingy. Cool~

The food was great. Peter really know how to throw a party. There was turkey, roast beef, pasta, salad, sushi, etc etc. Dessert was cheesecake, green tea jelly and log cake and endless champagne... *yum*

There were so many toddlers..

Jack (Peter's 19 months old son)
and I must say Jack is the cutest of all.
Jack - Cutest baby of the year... with his angmoh + indonesian blood. I bet my last dollar that he grows up to be a lady killer.

Yvette ( Yvonne's daughter probably around Jack's age)
She is so active, busy walking up and down, playing with toys and self entertaining herself. The little darling has such pretty eyes... the nose a little flat though.
She entertained everyone by reciting her ABCs, 123 and singing us Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to end the night.

Xuen (Pearlyn's 3 yr old daughter)
Xuen was so shy in the initial part of the party. She was clinging on to Pearlyn and Amanda the entire night. The later part of the night, she was entertaining us with her songs and dance. HaHa

Tats all now... blog the 2nd part tomorrow if I am better

Its 17 Days to Christmas :)

It was a good day for me yesterday. Hah~

- I took the effort to dress up after shopping so much the past couple of days. Everyone agrees that I look pretty with my purple rose and fake white pearl necklace.
- The bulletin from HR informed that our pay and bonus is coming in a week earlier. *read as: can SHOP MORE*
- I passed my exams. *Amazing I got one High Distinction and 2 Distinctions* Hah… excellent results given my laziness and my level of short attention span. Even I cannot stand how lazy I am… wahaha
- Finally ate dinner at Manhatten Fishmarket. I like the place you know. Just been there once before.

Oh no… just came back from blood donation. I feel cold and light *first time in my life I feel light*…

A Page of my Life

Its 20 Days to Christmas :)

Did it ever occur to you that life is just like a written book?

We are born blank in that book and its people around who writes on you and make you who you are today.

They seem to be the ones determining the life you should have.

But then again, we must have control of our own life and fight against people who wish to fill in misery in our pages.

RUN OFF YOU PEOPLE and don’t you dare try to scribble into my book and fill your filthy nonsense in my life.

I vow to keep all people who aim to make me feel lousy to get out of MY book.

Meanwhile, I think I have got a couple of trashes to dump in my life. Will keep you posted after I have dumped them duly

Its 21 Days to Christmas :)

Tada~ DBS is proud to annouce our new ambassador for the 2006 swimsuit *opps, hehe kidding only* calender. Look she even live up to her title by dressing up in the same color combination.

Actually, I have got loads of pictures to upload into my blog but I was too busy and too LAZY to do so. Guess I will just include some of my favourite pics. This is a picture of my cousin taken at J8. They have this Strawberry Shortcake playground in the midst of the shopping centre. The area even have this sweet strawberry scent. Since the lollipop was so cute, I couldnt resist but to get my cousin to pose a pic for me.
